Job Description:
The role of the Project Lead is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes planning resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and project stakeholders in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Lead will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Responsibilities:
A. Manage project development from beginning to end.
B. Define project scope, goals and deliverable that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
C. Develop detailed project plans and associated communications documents.
D. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
E. Liaise with project stakeholders on an on-going basis.
F. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
G. Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
H. Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
I. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
J. Analytical, Problem-solving and innovation skills are must.
K. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
L. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
M. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
N. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
O. Track project milestones and deliverable.
P. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Q. Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
R. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
S. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
T. Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take
positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
U. Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
V. Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
W. Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Position Requirements:
A. University degree or college diploma.
B. Minimum 2 years direct work experience in a project Lead capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
C. Familiarity with project management software.
D. 3+ yrs min of hands-on work experience in PHP and MySQL
E. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
F. Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from abroad spectrum of disciplines and nationalities.
G. Strong written and oral communication skills. Customer service skills an asset.
H. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
I. Good experience in handling Web services (SOAP, XML-RPC, REST).
Technical Skills required:
PHP 5, MySQL 5, Apache, (LAMP, WAMP) HTML5 , DHTML, XML and Java Script, CSS. AJAX and Jquery and other Opensource technologies
